GOD'S CALLILNG!! Are you answering???

God's plans include ALL of us to be His ambassadors to the world. I'm now in my 20th year of working in God's calling for me - working in various aspects of ministry to people in prison and/or after their release.

Could God be calling you to work with people in prison or post-release? Maybe.

This link is for an article about the Frederick Douglas Project. It talks about the great positive impact just visiting people in jail or prison can have on the recidivism rate.

After reading the article, let us know if you have any questions or to talk about the opportunities where you can have a great impact, not just for our communities, but, for our God!

"Hearing God's Voice" was the theme of our message during our Sunday night worship service this past Sunday. Many people do not realize that you CAN hear God's voice.

The following video by Pastor Robert Morris was used as a foundation for our message. It's worth watching the entire 13-minutes.

On TBN's Frequency with Robert Morris, Pastor Robert teaches how to know if the voice you're hearing is from God.Watch full episodes of Frequency for FREE on...

Look around at what's going on. Is there ANYONE in control? YEP!!

Isaiah 32:14-20 - 14 The fortress will be abandoned,
the noisy city deserted;
citadel and watchtower will become a wasteland forever,
the delight of donkeys, a pasture for flocks,
15 till the Spirit is poured on us from on high,
and the desert becomes a fertile field,
and the fertile field seems like a forest.
16 The Lord’s justice will dwell in the desert,
his righteousness live in the fertile field.
17 The fruit of that righteousness will be peace;
its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.
18 My people will live in peaceful dwelling places,
in secure homes,
in undisturbed places of rest.
19 Though hail flattens the forest
and the city is leveled completely,
20 how blessed you will be,
sowing your seed by every stream,
and letting your cattle and donkeys range free.

St. Louis University has been going into the Bonne Terre prison offering college credit and degree programs. Some of the guys attending our services were in these programs. Here's an article in the Ladue News showing the great success of bringing higher education to people who otherwise would not have this opportunity.

Through its Prison Education Program, SLU prepares incarcerated people for opportunities outside the prison system.

Praising God for how He is touching the people we work with!!

Last night at West County Community Fellowship church in Leadwood, MO we held a gathering for people who support our prison transition ministry and for those who live in the area who are in our program. It was both a GREAT and humbling night!

After sharing food and talk, the men introduced themselves and talked about how Renew Foundation Center has helped them in their transition. Several of the seven men, some who were released earlier this year and some who were released in the last month, said they don't know where they would be without Renew Foundation Center.

I told them we appreciate the accolades, but, we have to give all the credit to our God who is using us and our ministry to touch the lives and hearts of the men and women we serve.

Most of the people we are working with are doing great in their transition in both our St. Louis and Farmington/Bonne Terre operations.

And for those with challenges, we are working with them on a regular basis while also reminding how their weakness is their strength when they continually seek and rely on Jesus.

18 YEARS AGO GOD GAVE ME AN ASSIGNMENT - Go into the prisons and show them how Jesus sets you free INDEED!!

18 YEARS AGO on the second weekend in June, I walked into the "B" Chapel at the Farmington prison. Then spent the next 15 years going into Farmington, Bonne Terre and Potosi prisons leading Bible studies and worship services. Over 1,000 men a year came to our services. But, at the end of 2018 God gave me a vision for a reentry ministry.

Two years ago March Renew Foundation Center became operational. Today, we have almost 300 requests for assistance, have provided service to 73 men and women, and, to date, only 3 have returned to prison for a 4.1% recidivism rate.

Also to date, we have helped 35 find a job, assisted 45 in obtaining housing, helped 46 with food, 23 with clothing, shoes or work boots, 15 with coats and helped 5 get into a specialty program such as drug/alcohol rehab.

Today, we also operate two transition houses with another ministry. One house has six men and the other five men. These men are coming straight out of prison, some of whom were locked up as long as 30 to 40 years.

God has blessed this ministry greatly!! It's only because of Him that we have this great opportunity to show the love of Jesus to those coming out of dark and oppressed prisons.

If you so choose to support our ministry we would so appreciate your prayers and any financial help. You may give through our Cash App: $RenewFoundationCtr or click this link: https://tithe.ly/give?c=4629808

Or you can send a check payable to: Renew Foundation Center, PO Box 179182, St. Louis, MO. 63117. All contributions are tax deductible; #83-3323923

We praise God for letting us do what we do!!

PRAYERS PLEASE!! Please pray for two families who recently lost loved ones.

Last night I went to a wake for a 14-year old boy who committed su***de. His father Jason told me there were no warning signs. "I'm just lost in all this", he said. Please pray for Jason and his family.

Also pray for the family of Will who passed over to Jesus last week after spending six months in the hospital, mostly in ICU on and off a ventilator. Two years ago Will received a kidney transplant, but, six months ago started having problems. The kidney failed. Please pray for Will's family, as his wife will now be raising four of the grandchildren all on her own.
