Did you know there are different types of priests in the Catholic Church?

Diocesan priests serve a specific diocese under the leadership of a bishop. They usually serve in parishes, celebrating Mass, administering the sacraments, and caring for the spiritual needs of their local communities.

Religious priests belong to a religious community or order, such as the Congregation of the Mission. In addition to priestly duties, they live in community and follow specific vows that guide their mission and way of life.

Vincentians are Roman Catholic priests and brothers who live in community and serve the poor. Members of the Congregation of the Mission, founded by St. Vincent de Paul, are dedicated to serving the poor and forming others to continue Christ’s mission of charity.
