Alpha Day @ the Capitol – February 11, 2026

The Men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will be meeting directly with Missouri state leadership at the State Capitol.

If you had the opportunity to ask Governor Mike Kehoe, State Treasurer Vivek Malik, State Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick, and Secretary of State Denny Hoskins a question—what would it be?

Questions directed to the Secretary of State Hoskins should focus specifically on gerrymandering, fair maps, and the integrity of Missouri’s electoral process.

Yes, we are in a charged, political climate. Please be sure that your questions are thoughtful, reflective, and rooted in strengthening our resolve.

Bring forward your questions on behalf of the Missouri District of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Remember, civic engagement starts with informed voices and active voters—your proposed question will help bring attention to our community.

Drop your questions below đŸ‘‡đŸŸ and help shape the conversation at the Capitol. We are asking that you share your questions, publicly so that we can refine the questions as a community with a shared agenda. We will provide you with a follow-up after we meet with the state leadership.

NEWS FLASH:

JEBALI CONFERENCE 2026: GUIDING YOUNG MALES TOWARD PURPOSE AND POWER

In partnership with the Saint Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. – Epsilon Lambda Chapter, and the Delta Life Development Foundation, Jebali is a community-rooted conference centered on culture, commitment, and the intentional development of strong, purpose-driven young males.

This dynamic, full-day youth conference is designed to inspire and equip middle- and high-school males with the tools, confidence, and clarity needed to navigate their personal, academic, and leadership journeys with intention and purpose.

Why This Conference Matters

Supporting young males is essential to strengthening families, schools, and communities—particularly Black youth who continue to navigate systemic barriers and limited access to affirming spaces. Now in its second edition, this conference reflects a strong local commitment to sustained investment in young male development, while intentionally positioning Jebali as a collaborative model that Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. chapters can replicate nationwide through their Go to High School, Go to College and EMBODI national programs.

Building on the momentum, lessons, and impact of its inaugural year, Jebali provides a culturally grounded, supportive environment that fosters confidence, leadership, and opportunity—helping young males thrive academically, socially, and personally, and demonstrating how community-rooted solutions can generate lasting national impact.

Foundations of Conference
The Jebali Conference is grounded in two nationally recognized youth development programs:

EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) — Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s national program focused on leadership development, academic success, emotional intelligence, and healthy decision-making for young Black males.

Go to High School, Go to College (GTHSGTC) — Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.’s national program that promotes academic achievement, college access, career readiness, and lifelong leadership for Black youth.

What to Expect from Conference

Engaging speakers, youth experts, and respected community leaders

Interactive workshops addressing real-life issues such as financial literacy, teen jobs, mental health and su***de prevention, human trafficking awareness, responsible social media use, anti-bullying, civic engagement, decision making, and leadership development

Team-building activities that foster confidence, brotherhood, and accountability

Direct connections to local community resources, mentors, and support services that extend learning beyond the conference

A dedicated Parent Session offering practical tools, guidance, and resources

Parents, guardians, educators, counselors, and mentors register your middle- and high-school young men today. Space is limited to 200 youth participants with spots being filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
