As October winds down, it’s the perfect time to pause and celebrate how far you’ve come. Every small step you’ve taken toward wellness — whether it’s setting boundaries, staying active, or simply taking a breath — truly matters.

Let’s carry that positive momentum into November with renewed focus, gratitude, and self-care. Remember: progress isn’t about perfection — it’s about consistency, compassion, and growth. The best is yet to come.

Illume’s Training Manager, Julie Blanco, had the incredible opportunity to attend the 2025 MINT Forum!

The MINT Forum, hosted by the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), is an international gathering of professionals dedicated to advancing Motivational Interviewing (MI) practice, training, and research. Julie was able to attend through her involvement as a MINT Member — a recognition earned after completing the MINT Training for New Trainers (TNT).

Her participation allowed her to connect with global leaders in Motivational Interviewing, including MI founders Bill Miller and Terri Moyers, and to bring back new strategies and insights to enhance Illume’s training and coaching programs.

At Illume, we’re digging deeper into how to better support people living with Substance Use Disorders (SUD). 💡

Our research explores how SUD connects with other challenges like homelessness, trauma, and serious mental illness — because real life isn’t lived in silos. We’ve studied what works, from integrated treatment models to case management approaches that lead to better recovery outcomes.

Our team also trains professionals in evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, and the Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA) — all proven tools for supporting individuals on their recovery journey.

Through our research, training, and collaboration, Illume is helping reshape the future of behavioral health — one insight at a time. 💙

✨ Small shifts. Big difference. ✨

🌅 Stretch before getting out of bed.
Wake your body gently — it boosts circulation and helps your muscles prepare for the day.

💭 Replace “I have to” with “I get to.”
A simple mindset shift that turns obligation into gratitude and changes how you approach your day.

💬 Ask someone about their highlight instead of their day.
It invites positive reflection and creates more uplifting conversations.

🌿 Open a window for 5 minutes.
Fresh air clears your head, resets your energy, and literally helps you breathe easier.

Tiny habits like these keep your mind, body, and spirit in sync. 💚
