Our October Employee Spotlight is Lydia!
Lydia has worked for UCP Heartland for a year and a half! She began working as a Job Coach in June of 2025. A year later, she got the Administrative Assistant position at our Gibbs Center for Independence in Jefferson City. In this role, she manages day-to-day front desk operations, directing guests, answering calls, and managing calendars.
She enjoys her role, sharing, “I love it, and I’m glad I am able to be part of a team that helps our clients and their families.” This experience has made a lasting impact on Lydia. The transition from an Employment Resources participant to a UCP Heartland employee represents much more than a job. Lydia shared, “To me, it means becoming more independent and learning to trust myself, while still trusting God when I’m not sure what comes next. I definitely still have things to work on, but I’ve gotten a lot more confident in handling things on my own.”
