🚴🏾♂️🦅 Hugh J. White Chapter Members and supporters Participate in Annual Juneteenth Bike Ride 🦅🚴🏾♀️
Several members of the Hugh J. White Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. came out to support and participate in the Annual Juneteenth Bike Ride in downtown St. Louis.
This inspiring event combined fitness, community, music, and history as riders traveled between significant locations while learning about the people and events that helped shape our city and our nation.
One of the highlights was the stop at Soldiers Memorial, where riders learned that just one year ago, on Juneteenth 2025, the street adjacent to the memorial was officially designated **Tuskegee Airmen Way**. Riders also heard about the six St. Louis-area Tuskegee Airmen honored with legacy bricks at the memorial:
🦅 Captain Wendell O. Pruitt
🦅 Major Lewis J. Lynch
🦅 Captain Christopher W. Newman
🦅 Captain Hugh J. White
🦅 Corporal Warren Harper
🦅 Sergeant George H. Carper II
We are grateful to Trailnet and the event organizers for helping preserve and share these important stories. Events like this remind us that history is all around us and that the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen continues to inspire future generations.
Thank you to all the chapter members, riders, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the day a success.
**Honoring the Legacy. Inspiring the Future.**
