Parents, grandparents, teachers, and mentors — please share this story with the young people in your life.
The story of Captain Wendell Pruitt, one of the Tuskegee Airmen, is more than aviation history. It is a lesson about listening, trying, believing in yourself, and not giving up.
One of the most powerful messages in his story came from his mother: “Always try.”
That simple advice helped shape a young man who went on to become a fighter pilot, a Tuskegee Airman, and part of an important chapter in American history.
Our children need stories like this — stories that show them that courage, hard work, and persistence can open doors.
Please watch it with your children, grandchildren, students, or youth group, and then ask them one simple question:
“What is something you are willing to try, even if it is hard?”
Help us keep the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen alive by passing their lessons on to the next generation.

I would gladly do this if I had the extra $100. Since I don’t, I’m asking you to do something that costs nothing: encourage the youth in your life—especially young ladies—to explore aviation.

Aviation offers so many possibilities, from becoming a pilot to pursuing careers in engineering, aircraft maintenance, air traffic control, aerospace, and more.

Sometimes, all it takes is one person saying, “You can do this,” to help a young person discover a future they never imagined.

Encourage them. Introduce them to aviation. Let them know that the sky is not the limit—it’s just the beginning. ✈️

A busy day, but definitely a **fun and rewarding one!** ✈️

I had a great time today talking with the **SABAYET youth group on the north side of St. Louis**. There were lots of smiles, lots of questions, and plenty of curiosity about aviation and the future.

None of these young people have ever been on an airplane. **Two told me they want to become pilots, one wants to be a surgeon, and another wants to be a cricket player!** I told them to keep dreaming BIG—because you never know where that first opportunity might lead.

Days like this remind me why I do what I do.

**This is what I live for—planting seeds, opening doors, and helping young people see possibilities they may have never considered before.**

✈️ **The sky is not the limit—it’s the beginning!**
