The full launching of Birth in Recovery has been moved back due to health issues in my family and the time I've had to dedicate to appointments and procedures.

Birth in Recovery will fully launch on March 1st, 2021. A birth worker training geared specifically towards supporting birthing people in recovery will be offered at that time. Many more things are in the works.

I cannot express how grateful I am for your continued support and encouragement.

We are looking for women who have given birth in recovery / active addiction to anonymously fill out a questionnaire to help fine tune the training and services we will be providing through Birth In Recovery.

Please share. You may think you don't know of anyone who has given birth under these circumstances, but chances are high you wouldn't know it if you did.

Every answer will help to ensure better outcomes for birthing people in recovery in the future.

BIRTH IN RECOVERY QUESTIONNAIREFirst and foremost I would like to thank you for your willingness to take part in answering these questions. Your answers will be used to help develop training for doulas interested in serving birthing people in recovery. While quotes may be used both in this training....

While planning Birth In Recovery I faced a lot of fear that once I was ready to share this with the world I would face a huge struggle to get people interested and possibly a lot of backlash for wanting to serve this specific demographic. Last night as I prepared to post my anxiety was through the roof, but I felt it was time.

Between just last night and this morning I have received several messages from people asking how to get involved. How to help.

I am floored and beyond excited to already have so many people willing and wanting to be a part of this. It IS time.

I’ve always dreamed big and Birth In Recovery is no exception. I have HUGE plans.

Early next week I will be releasing a link for birth workers interested in being a part of this movement to sign up for updates and to indicate how they feel they can best help. If you would like to be sure not to miss it, please comment below and I will message you directly with the link once it’s public.

I will be looking for 5 birth workers (current doulas or midwives) to do a beta run of my Birth In Recovery doula training beginning on October 15th. If you’re interested in being considered please message me directly and I will send a questionnaire to you.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for joining me on this mission to improve outcomes for birthing people in recovery.
