Shorewood Kiwanis newest project is Keep Kids Reading. Today we were at Harmon Elementary School. We gave out Scholastic books and a bookmark for grades kindergarten to 5th grade. The kids loved them!

Today was a special day at Greenwood Elementary School in SCS. Shorewood Kiwanis of St. Clair Shores wants all students to enjoy reading and therefore, all students were able to select their very own book to keep through our scholastic reading program. A huge thanks to the following for making this happen: the librarian Beth, assistance from Whitney and Shannon, and the scholastic coordinator/ Kiwanian, Sue Crowe - State Farm Agent.

Merry Christmas to everyone. Many thanks to member Terry Levins and son and Grandson for helping deliver Goodfellow baskets on Christmas Eve. Scott Holmes and his son also participated.

Shorewood hosted a Christmas Party for over 100 homeless children and adults at Lakeshore Presbyterian Church. We also partnered with Motor City Mitten Mission. Everyone received a hot meal ,presents and winter outer wear. Thanks also to donations from Faygo, Chicken Shack and Chef Bobby. Kids also received a book on the true meaning of Christmas.
