2020 Parade Canceled

The St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade is every May on the Sunday before Memorial Day at 1 p.m. and is the lakeshore city’s premier event. The parade honors those who have died while serving our country. This year’s parade to occur on May 24 has been canceled by the City of St. Clair Shores due to the coronavirus.

We’re one of the largest Memorial Day parades in the country with nearly 80,000 spectators and over 110 entries of military groups, marching bands, celebrities, classic cars, beauty queens and local officials. We even have an exhilarating jet flyover from Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

The parade is managed by the all volunteer St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade Committee, which meets from January-May on the first and third Wednesday each month. The schedule is monthly from June-December. We meet at City Hall in the Jefferson Conference room. All meetings are open to the public and we encourage all residents to attend!

Committee members are: Cheryl Furdos, Vince Carr, David Rubello, Sarah Lanyon, Charles Palermo, Mary Beth Okray, Robert Muha, Chuck Hall, Kyle Nicholson and Greta Guest Rubello.
