Cheers to another successful year of spreading Easter joy!
Our goal for 2026, which is our TENTH year of service, was 650 Easter baskets.
Thanks to our amazing donors and volunteers, we were able to exceed our goal with a total of 670 baskets donated!!

Thank you to for supporting Love One Another through their Macomb County Casual Day Charitable Collections Program!

Macomb County employees donated a total of $632 for the month of February.

Thanks again to for choosing to support our efforts through this amazing program! This donation will go a long way to help us achieve our goal of 650 Easter baskets for 2026.

Our team of volunteers has been hard at work assembling Easter baskets!

Three awesome assembly events took place in March. A special thank you to our friends at Chesterfield Township Senior Center / Chesterfield Township Parks & Recreation and Grosse Pointe Memorial Church for help with hosting and to all of their hard-working volunteers!

300 Easter baskets have already been delivered to La Sed: Latin Americans for Social & Economic Development,Inc. Michigan Children's Law Center St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Center SER Metro-Detroit Jobs for Progress, Inc. The Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries & Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Macomb County Children’s Services

The rest will be picked up next week. We have 60 baskets remaining to meet our goal of 650 Easter baskets donated.

We have been hard at work preparing to make 650 Easter baskets for our community! Last week’s tasks included:

-Unbox First Book book bank delivery 🚚
Very thankful to First Book for this resource that makes it possible for us to provide new books in the Easter baskets!
-Dropped off 3 cases of Easter eggs + candy for a few volunteer teams who are helping to fill eggs! ✅ 🥚 🍬

The groups this year that are helping to fill Easter eggs include a local Girl Scouts troop and the Ardmore Elementary School kindness club! How wonderful to see young kids giving back 💗

At Love One Another, we take our Easter basket duties seriously. There is a lot of care and planning that goes into making sure we are providing the most that we can for our neighbors in need.

Each Easter basket donated is thoughtfully assembled to include fun stuff for the kids as well as essential items. Every basket is made to fit into specific age group (5 age groups, ranging from 1 year old to teens) and includes at least 1 of each:

-Toy/stuffed animal
-Book and/or school supplies
-Candy/treats
-essentials: socks and/or hygiene products

After the baskets are wrapped up, we sticky note label each one with the age range for easy distribution to our participating organizations.

We are very thankful for our volunteers and donors who make it possible to provide these wonderful gifts for our community.

We are very excited to share that we’ve received a $500 Spark Good local grant from our local Walmart Roseville - Gratiot Ave!

This grant will help to support our Easter basket collection drive. We are collecting to reach our goal of making 650 Easter baskets for underserved kids and families across the Metro Detroit area. See http://linktr.ee/LoveOneAnother313 for links to donate.

Congratulations to one of our longest serving volunteers, the Honorable Chief Judge Patricia Perez Fresard, for receiving the Detroit Lions Latino Heritage Award!

Each year the winner of this award gets to nominate a charity of their choice which benefits the Latino community in Detroit. We are honored to be this years recipient.

Thank you so much to the Detroit Lions and Chief Judge Fresard! This donation will go a long way in helping to provide Easter baskets for kids in need. 🙏🏻🦁💙
