Wreaths Across America: Grave-Specific Wreath Placement & Sponsorship Guide
Dear Supporters,
As we prepare for this year’s National Wreaths Across America events, we want to ensure every family who wishes to honor a fallen hero has the opportunity and information needed to do so smoothly and meaningfully.
1. Key Date & Placement Hours at Jefferson Barracks
• Date: Saturday, December 12, 2026
• Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Event: Family and Friends Day. This is for those who have sponsored grave specific wreaths that are entered as such on the website. We only obtain enough wreaths to supply those that are grave specific. No other wreaths will be laid that day.
2. Essential Information: Sponsoring a Grave-Specific Wreath
In previous years, we experienced heartbreaking moments when families arrived expecting a wreath for their loved one, only to discover that none had been reserved.
Please keep these critical guidelines in mind:
• Sponsorship is Required: To guarantee a wreath for a specific veteran, a family member or friend must sponsor a grave-specific wreath in advance.
• General Donations: General or corporate sponsorships are often allocated to specific designated cemetery sections or across the grounds as funding allows and cannot guarantee a wreath for a particular headstone.
• Placement Options: When placing an order for a name-specific wreath, you can now designate whether you wish to personally place the wreath yourself or request that a volunteer place it on your behalf.

3. How to Locate Your Loved One’s Gravesite
If you are unsure of your loved one's exact section or plot number, please look up their info and enter all info when sponsoring on line.
You can search national and state veterans cemeteries using the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Nationwide Gravesite Locator.
4. Important Event Update: Dedication Ceremony at Jefferson Barracks May be Cancelled. More info to follow
For those accustomed to the traditional ceremonies at Jefferson Barracks :
• No Formal Dedication Ceremony:Due to logistics, the formal dedication ceremony (previously held at the chapel, the flagpole, and the park) is cancelled this year.
• Website Notice: The official website may not yet reflect this cancellation, but please plan directly for wreath placement between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM on the 12th .

Sponsoring a veteran’s wreath is a personal gesture of remembrance and gratitude for those who sacrificed to safeguard our freedoms.
Your sponsorship supports a yearlong mission to:

• Honor those who serve
• Teach the next generation the true value of freedom

Wreaths Across America now offers recurring monthly or annual sponsorships, giving you the flexibility to support the mission year-round and adjust, pause, or cancel at any time.
