CFO is funded by annual sponsors and community events and is 100% volunteer operated by the Cottleville Professional Firefighters of IAFF Local 2665 and local community members. CFO was created out of the Cottleville Fire Protection District to raise our community's educational and awareness levels of safety and health issues in hopes of preventing misfortune. However, when tragedy does occur, we

will assist individuals and families that are victims of fire, other emergencies, or other severe crises by providing whatever is needed to minimize burden and to promote recovery.

Cottleville Kids Fire Academy Registration is Now Open!

On Saturday, October 10th, 2026 Cottleville Firefighters Outreach in partnership with Cottleville Fire Protection District will be holding a Kids Fire Academy.

The Cottleville Kids Fire Academy is a hands-on experience that gives kids a fun, behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be a firefighter. Participants will learn fire safety, practice search and rescue drills, use a fire extinguisher, learn basic first aid, explore fire apparatus, and take part in other firefighter-style activities.

The cost of the camp is $100. Payment is non refundable due to the personalization of fire gear

The cost includes:
Personalized firefighter gear
Firefighter boots
Firefighter helmet
Firefighter cadet duty shirt
Lunch, drinks, and snacks

We recommend that participants be between the ages of 6 to 11 years of age. The camp will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. and last until 3:00 p.m. with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Pick up to begin at 2:45-3:00. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

Upon registration, a fillable form will be emailed to you to collect demographic and sizing information for you child.

We know teachers have to purchase school supplies, classroom decorations and more from their personal budgets. We want to help! ✏️

We are now accepting applications for the Fall 2026 Teacher Wishlist program!

Applications during this application period will be considered for our Fall 2026 Grant Cycle. We will open applications again in the fall for the Spring 2027 grant cycle.

Applications will be open until July 31st

Any teacher from the Francis Howell School District , Messiah Lutheran School, Zion Lutheran School and St. Joseph’s School in Cottleville are encouraged to apply - including previous recipients.

Since 2021, we have been able to fulfill 140 wishlists totally nearly Sixty Two Thousand Dollars. We hope this program continues to provide our local teachers with the materials they need to make every school year memorable
