As we navigate this quarantine, it is apparent that we have many folks in our neighborhood who have been impacted financially. Our neighbors might have reduced hours, been laid off, and or simply lost their jobs. Right now is a time for us to step up and assist each other and build our community. When Mike and I were voted in to run the HOA- we repeated that we need to engage our neighbors on the left and right of our homes; there is no better time than now. I would encourage you to think and act a little differently for the next few weeks: When you go to the store, reach out and ask if you can get items for your neighbors, if you see toilet paper or bleach, get (1) extra pack to gift to others.
Mike and I will be keeping a list of those that can help over the next few weeks and those that need help. If you are willing to help someone mow their lawn as they are sick or food shopping etc. Please reach out to us and let us know what you can do or your needs. We will do our best to coordinate the effort and assist.
We can do this responsibly, and in line to protect our health and exposure to Covid19 :
1) If you need assistance with grocery shopping, please let me know. Ordering on amazon, running to the store, scheduling a pick up are all options
2) If you have extra supplies that you can make available, we can identify those in need and share these with them in our subdivision
3) If you are sick and need a pick up from the pharmacy or a ride to the doctor, please let me know
4) Let us know how we can help
Your leadership team of the Home Owners Association is willing to get together and help. When we had the Tornado, we acted like family; this is another chance.
High-value items to share :
1) Toilet paper
2) Hand sanitizer
3) Bleach for cleaning
4) Food items ( canned, frozen, etc.. )
5) Time- social distancing and isolation mean lost contact, merely calling and or talking changes someone's day.
