The nonprofit agency was founded in 1975 by a group of dedicated professionals and parents who wanted to enable children with disabilities to be served in their own community. More than 45 years later, United Services continues developing new clinical and behavioral health initiatives to help child

ren during one of the most challenging periods of their lives. The agency thanks its supporters for helping ensure children receive the early intervention they need at this critical stage to build a foundation for their future success. The agency's certified teachers and therapists serve approximately 300 children per year. They provide classroom-based early intervention education programs, occupational therapy, speech therapy, aqua therapy, ABA, and support programs for parents and siblings. The agency's outpatient program, Uncommon Grace Pediatric Therapy, allows families to access life-changing therapies covered by major insurance carriers.

United Services for Children is hiring a full-time pediatric occupational therapist. Provide pediatric therapy to children ages 0-15 with a variety of diagnoses. Services may be delivered in our outpatient clinic and early intervention classrooms. The therapist is responsible for administering a range of pediatric assessments, treatment planning, documentation, and delivery of therapy. Serving the community for over 50 years, United Services has a strong therapy program. Join a dynamic team of therapists who treat children in our early intervention program and outpatient clinic. Today has been a meaningful day for The Inclusion Gallery. đź’›

This morning, St. Louis Magazine shared the story of The Inclusion Gallery and the heart behind this project: creating a therapeutic indoor play space where children of all abilities can play, learn, regulate, and belong together.

Then this afternoon, a generous St. Charles County couple came to United Services for Children and made a $35,000 commitment to adopt the Woodland Cottage exhibit.

It was a beautiful affirmation that this vision is resonating with our community.
The Woodland Cottage will be one of the signature play experiences inside The Inclusion Gallery, and this generous gift will help bring it to life.

We are deeply grateful for this family’s commitment and for the growing support behind a space rooted in inclusion, joy, and belonging.

As momentum continues to build, additional giving and naming opportunities remain available for families, businesses, and community partners who feel moved to be part of bringing The Inclusion Gallery to life.

The Inclusion Gallery is gaining momentum, and every partner brings us closer to opening the doors for children of all abilities.

We are so grateful to Enbridge Fueling Futures for awarding United Services for Children a grant in support of the Inclusion Gallery, our future therapeutic indoor play and learning environment for children with developmental delays and disabilities.

This future space is being designed with input from our licensed occupational, speech, and behavioral therapists to help children build skills, connect with peers, and simply belong.

Through therapeutic play, children will have opportunities to work on motor development, sensory processing, communication, emotional regulation, and social connection in a safe, accessible, climate controlled environment.

Thank you, Enbridge, for investing in a more inclusive future for children and families in our community.

The City of St. Charles Fire Department visited United Services this morning and showed off their firetruck and fire fighting gear to children in our week-long Vocabulary Camp. Transportation is one of the camp’s educational themes. Children are learning about fire trucks and other vehicles as they read the book “Fire Engine No. 9” and sing “Hurry, Hurry Drive the Firetruck.” Thanks to the fire department, the kids got to see a real firetruck and some of the equipment they’ve been reading about, including fire hoses, hats, and boots. Seeing these things in real life allows the children to use new words in a meaningful context.

Join us Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Ameristar St. Charles for United Services’ signature fundraising event of the year.

This evening is a celebration of our kiddos, families, and the milestones they have worked so hard to reach. It is a night to gather as a community, recognize the growth happening at United Services, and support the Scholarship Fund that helps keep care accessible.

All funds raised through the gala go directly to the United Services for Children Scholarship Fund.

The Scholarship Fund helps children access early intervention, pediatric therapy, and family-centered support when their families need financial assistance. For many families of children with developmental disabilities and delays, including autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy, the cost of care can become overwhelming.
