Dear Friends,
It’s been a while since our last update, but I’m excited to share the latest from Timmy’s Mountain in Honduras! Currently, we support 244 students from kindergarten through 12th grade, along with 3 college students and 3 advanced vocational students – all thriving in their studies. We offer computer and English classes for every student and provide nutritious breakfasts and lunches for kindergarteners through 6th grade.
We’ve also brought meaningful upgrades to the Nueva Granada community, like new water pipes that help prevent diseases caused by parasites.
Our board of directors is strong, yet we’re always open to new members. We continue to raise funds through donations and events, such as our upcoming Mouse Races on March 7, 2026 and our annual golf tournament at Old Hickory Golf Club on July 27, 2026. Both events in St. Charles County are always a lot of fun!
I’m planning a trip to Honduras this December to celebrate Christmas with the children and their families, and I’ll share more updates in our January newsletter.
We truly rely on donations to keep our mission alive and continue supporting these children. Without our help, many would not progress beyond 6th grade. Thanks to our efforts, they now have the chance to pursue college or vocational training and improve their futures and communities.
As St. Francis of Assisi said, “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.”
Thank you for your ongoing support. We wish you and your families a safe and Joyful Holiday Season!
Best Regards,
Bob Wamhoff
Chairman of the Board
