Comfortable Sins Wk. 3 - Comparison

Comparison seems harmless, but Scripture shows how quickly it can turn into jealousy, resentment, pride, and discontentment. From Joseph’s brothers comparing themselves to him, to Israel wanting a king like the nations around them, to the disciples competing for positions of power, we see the same pattern repeated: looking at what someone else has makes us dissatisfied with what God has given us. The question isn’t just “Who am I compared to them?” but “Am I content with who God has called me to be?”

Back to School Skate Night ⛸️

Last Monday, we celebrated the coming of a new school year with kids and families from New City! This has been a long-standing tradition at New City and is always a highlight of the summer.

Events like this are a big part of our goal of forging friendships. It’s more than just an skate night, it’s an opportunity for kids and families to spend time together, build relationships, and strengthen the community we’re grateful to be a part of.

We’re excited for another school year together!

New City Camp 2026

Our first ever New City Family Camp was a hit!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend happen, and to Encounter Cove for hosting us. It’s so special being able to spend extended time together as a church family — making memories, playing games, getting out on the lake, and simply doing life together.
