Historically, little research has been carried out on the day-to-day lives of young grassland-dependent birds because of their well-hidden nests.
ο»ΏIn this presentation, you are invited to live alongside a few common grassland birds, including grasshopper sparrows, eastern meadowlarks, dickcissels, and brown-headed cowbirds, as they undergo one of the fastest developmental periods of all vertebrates.
Ornithologist S.K. Winnicki will share their research on the growth of these species in Northeast Kansas, with emphasis on what we can do to help these threatened species.
This free webinar, to be held via Zoom, will include a presentation and a live question-and-answer session. The webinar will be recorded, and a link to the recording will be sent to all registrants and posted to the MPF YouTube channel.
Wednesday, September 23, at 4:00 p.m. 1 GNPCP CEU. Register here: https://ow.ly/SxFa50ZLBWW
