Pride St. Charles is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Cat Criswell.

We were incredibly fortunate to have Cat volunteer with us at Pride St. Charles this past June. We are grateful that she chose to give her time, energy, and support to our organization and our community.

Cat’s dedication to the LGBTQ+ community extended far beyond any one organization. She showed up, gave back, and helped make our community a better and more welcoming place. We are honored that Pride St. Charles was one of the many places touched by her kindness and commitment.

Our hearts are with Cat’s family, friends, the Pride St. Louis family, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Rest in peace, Cat. Thank you for continuing to show up for the community. Your impact will not be forgotten. 🏳️‍🌈❤️🏳️‍⚧️🫶🏽

Pride St. Louis is deeply saddened to share the passing of our former board member, and longtime volunteer, Cathleen “Cat” Criswell.

Cat dedicated many years to Pride St. Louis and our community. Long before joining our Board of Directors, she gave her time as a dedicated volunteer, and even after her board service came to an end, Cat continued to show up and volunteer in support of Pride and the community she cared so much about.

We are incredibly grateful for the many years Cat gave to Pride St. Louis and for the impact she made along the way. Her dedication, allyship and presence will not be forgotten.

Our thoughts are with Cat’s family, friends, and all those who knew and loved her during this difficult time.

What a fun night at our Chicken N Pickle Give Back Night! 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support Pride St. Charles! We had nearly 50 people join us throughout the evening. Some gathered in the restaurant, others hit the pickleball courts, and everyone was spread out enjoying the night—which made for an amazing turnout, even if it wasn’t the easiest to capture in photos!

It was also great to see a couple of our Pride St. Charles vendors come out with their families and coworkers. Seeing our community continue to support one another outside of Pride Month means so much to us.

A special thank you to Chicken N Pickle - St. Charles for hosting us again, and to everyone who grabbed a meal, played pickleball, bought merch, stopped by to say hello, or simply came out to support our mission. Every bit of support helps us continue creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces for our community in St. Charles!

We do owe everyone a little apology—we realized a bit too late that we hadn’t taken many photos! If you were there and don’t see yourself, it’s because we were too busy enjoying the evening with all of you.

Every Pride takes a community. 🌈

To every vendor, nonprofit, small business, organization, and entertainer who chose to show up—thank you. 🩵🩷🤍

At a time when some choose to step back from supporting the LGBTQ+ community, you chose to be visible. You chose to stand with us, connect with our community, and help make Pride St. Charles such an incredible day.🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Since June 20th, we’ve heard so many amazing stories. Our rescue partners received adoption applications, foster applications, and new volunteers. We’ve heard from businesses that made new connections, nonprofits that reached people who needed their services, and so many other incredible things that happened because of one amazing Saturday together.🫶🏽

💥We’d love to keep that momentum going. Let’s show these businesses, organizations, and performers what our community can do. If you were part of Pride St. Charles—yes, this includes our amazing entertainers too!—introduce yourself in the comments and tell everyone who you are and what you do. We’d love for our followers to discover, support, and celebrate you long after Pride.
