🌟 Creating Opportunities. Building Confidence. Strengthening Communities. 🌟

One of the best things a community bank can do is invest in its people.

When employees have opportunities to learn, grow, and expand their knowledge, they gain confidence in their roles, strengthen the service they provide, and become even more valuable resources for the customers and communities they serve.

That commitment is clearly evident at Community National Bank, VT.

Not only has Community National Bank supported employee participation in CFTEA programs, they have also brought CFTEA content in house to create even greater affordability and access to professional development opportunities. 🌟 Great leaders never stop learning. 🌟

Leadership is not about having all the answers. It's about being willing to grow, learn from others, and continually improve.

That spirit was on full display at Holy Rosary Credit Union as two dedicated professionals recently completed CFTEA's Branch Manager Bootcamp Certificate.

Congratulations to:

πŸ† Heather Lightizer
β€’ Branch Manager Bootcamp Certificate

πŸ† Jenna Newton
β€’ Branch Manager Bootcamp Certificate

The Branch Manager Bootcamp is designed to help current and aspiring leaders strengthen their management skills, build confidence, and develop practical strategies they can bring back to their teams immediately.

For Heather, the experience became much more than a training program.

Through meaningful discussions with fellow participants, real conversations about workplace challenges, and opportunities to learn from leaders with different experiences, she gained valuable perspectives that helped strengthen her approach to leadership. She also built lasting connections with peers who continue to support and encourage one another beyond the classroom.

As the program progressed, the lessons became increasingly relevant to her day to day responsibilities, helping her think more intentionally about growing her branch, developing her team, and leading with purpose.

A special thank you to Holy Rosary Credit Union for its commitment to employee development and leadership growth. Organizations that invest in their people create stronger teams, stronger workplaces, and stronger communities.

CFTEA is proud to partner with organizations that understand that learning is one of the most powerful tools for helping people reach their potential.

Congratulations, Heather and Jenna. We look forward to seeing the positive impact your leadership continues to have on your teams and your communities.

🌟 Sometimes the most important investment you make is in yourself. 🌟

Not every educational achievement begins with a manager's recommendation or a company sponsored program.

Sometimes it starts with a simple decision:

06/02/2026

Seven years in a row.

CFTEA has once again earned Candid’s Platinum Seal of Transparency for 2026, the highest level of nonprofit transparency recognition in the country.

And honestly, this one matters deeply to us. Less than 1% of nonprofits nationwide reach this level.

To earn it, organizations have to publicly share detailed information about finances, leadership, strategy, outcomes, goals, and the actual impact being made. That means opening the doors and saying, β€œHere’s who we are. Here’s what we are working toward. Here’s where resources are going. Here’s the difference it is making.”

That level of transparency takes work. Real work.

For the people and organizations who work with CFTEA, this recognition means something important. It means you can trust that we take stewardship seriously. Whether you are an employee taking a class, a financial institution investing in staff development, a board member, a partner organization, or someone cheering us on from the sidelines, you deserve to know the organization you support is operating with accountability and purpose.

This recognition also increases visibility and credibility for nonprofits like CFTEA, helping more people discover the work we do and why career development matters in strengthening community financial institutions and the people behind them.

I’m incredibly proud of our team, our board, our instructors, and the organizations that continue believing in what we do. Nonprofits do not accomplish milestones like this alone.

Thank you for being part of the story.

To your continued success,
Andrew Lederer, Executive Director
