Message from Jack McAdam at McDougal Orchards to caution riders about logging happening on their property:

FYI in case you haven't been riding the trails below the orchard recently, we have a logger in cutting trees.

Bicyclists need to use extreme caution as the trails will be a mess. He will clean up the orchard trails when done.

He has been putting bush on our trails and I assume that is more for protection. We have been able to walk around the mess but who knows what it will look like as he continues to the north.

Great ride at Blue Job this morning!

Sunday ride plans from Mike:
We had initially planned on riding Blue Job Sunday, but what with the weather folks predicting rainy , possibly a thunder booming weather event, I am going to ride out of the shop at 8:15 AM for a short local run and then hitting the All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet ( $10) next door at the Bistro. Ride time may be an hour and a half to 2 hours at the most.

Anyway, that's my plan.

Keep it 'tween the ditches,

Mike

Great ride at the Smith Preserve this morning, huge thanks to Dave Anderson for leading us on an awesome loop! We are doing a regular Sunday morning ride now, 8:30 when local and earlier if we have to travel. The Thursday ride is at 6:00 out of the shop. Thursday's have been a bit sparse, but a handful of riders are showing up. Great time of year to be on the trails, dry conditions and the bugs are not bad!

Headed to the Smith Preserve in K-Bunk on Sunday. The plan is to meet there @ 9:00 AM. Anyone near Sanford or does not know how to get there, can meet at the shop @ 8:00 AM and we'll leave to head to the Smith Preserve at 8:15 AM or so. Ride will be in the 2 plus hour range.
