The International Institute of Southwest Missouri (IISMO) is currently seeking targeted donations to support newly arrived families as they work toward stability and self-sufficiency.

At this time, our most urgent needs include:

πŸͺ‘ Writing desks – to help create small, functional home office spaces
πŸš— Used vehicles – even those needing minor repairs, to expand access to jobs and essential services
πŸ›’ ALDI or Walmart gift cards – to assist families facing food insecurity

As of March 31, many legally documented immigrants we serve are no longer receiving SNAP (food stamp) benefits, increasing the need for direct community support.

We also welcome:
πŸ›οΈ Bed frames
πŸ›‹οΈ Couches
πŸͺŸ Tables and other household furniture

All donations are tax-deductible, and we are happy to share follow-up stories showing the impact your support has on individual families.

πŸ’™ You can also give directly via our account at Community Foundation of the Ozarks, where all funds go toward direct client assistance. https://cfozarks.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=6061

We are also grateful to our friends at the American Indian Center of Springfield who operate a food bank at the Fairbanks. Clients are easily able to access this resource 1x each month. To donate to their accounts please call 417-880-1570 or email [email protected]

πŸ™Œ Interested in getting involved beyond donations? We have volunteer opportunities available!

πŸ“ž To donate items, please call: 417-720-1552

Together, we can continue building a more welcoming and prosperous Southwest Missouri for all.
