It’s kind of amazing how GOD works.About Four years ago I was asked by a Brother in Christ if I would preach the Christmas Service. I told him no; and my reasoning at the time was that the Head-Pastor (which was him) should preach the Christmas Services, not Associate Pastors. I guess being overly “religious-minded”, and maybe a bit of feeling inadequate for the task at hand, I responded with a no. Moments later, he said ok, cool. We hung up the phone. And out of no where a huge lightning bolt hit the street, near my drive way, less than 10 feet away from the window that I was sitting at. There was no rain. No thunder storms forecasted. And not one more lightning bolt struck after it. So I, having many past moments where GOD used nature to check me. I took that as a sign from GOD, & I immediately called him back. And I told him that I would do it!👀🤷🏾♂️😂🤦🏽♂️.He wanted to know why did I change my mind… I told him. And he laughed; and so did I.Getting back to the story; after saying yes to the assignment, I began to ask GOD what did HE want me to say. And HE began to speak to me about HIS Presence, Being The Present. It was deep.As the time came closer to preach the Christmas Service, The LORD began to speak to me, and then altered the end of my sermon. I had no idea why. HE started to remind me of my Father, and the fact that his birthday is on Christmas Day; and how on a day that’s fit to honor him, he loves to give gifts to others. It took me years to figure out why he liked to do this. The LORD began to show me through the example of my father’s love and generosity THE FATHER’S (GOD’S) LOVE TOWARDS US! In that while we were still sinners CHRIST Died For US! The Greatest Gift That You Could Ever Receive Is JESUS!HE had me pay homage to my Father, on a large platform, not knowing that two days after his birthday (December 27th), he would go on to be with The LORD.GOD Knows What HE’S doing in every situation, even if we do not. Always be obedient to the leading of The Holy Spirit.GOD Bless You In JESUS’ Name! & Happy Holidays To ALL!
