Seems like many folks like to take scripture out of context and think God will honor it. For instance “resist the devil and he will flee from you”. The Context is …FIRST “submit yourself therefore unto God” THEN “resist the devil and he will flee”
There is no power over the enemy in an unsubbmissive resistance or unsubmitted resistance.
We must humble ourselves under His hand and in His sight.
God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
The enemy preys on EVERYTHING tied to EVERYONE that is not submitted.

Without HIM we can do nothing
With HIM All things are possible
Without Him there is no victory
With Him there is victory in every place!

Get under the blood
Get under the shadow
Dont just lift up your eyes and look to the hills where your help resides. Run to the Hills of God and submit all of you to the merciful graceful Savior, Jesus Christ!

Randy Keyes preached from this text a number of years ago. That message still resonates with me every time I read the proverb. The power of preaching is unlike anything else. I thank God for every passion filled, truth loving, HolyGhost filled, fire breathing, devil stomping, Man of God who faithfully releases the seed of Gods word into the soil of hungry hearts on a daily basis. For Christ to be “in” us means: He has delegated His power and authority because of the Name. Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
