We always love being a part of Senior Celebration! More than 800 seniors have already come through the doors so far, and we’re grateful to be part of such an amazing event celebrating our senior community💜

💜 Yesterday, KDO proudly awarded $252,000 through our traditional grant program to nonprofit organizations across Sangamon County that provide vital services and support for seniors in our community. We are honored to help support the incredible work these organizations do each day to enhance the lives of older adults.

With this year’s grants, KDO has now awarded more than $3 million back into our community to help enhance the lives of seniors throughout Sangamon County. We are proud to support our community and the organizations making a difference every day! 💜

Today is extra special at Habitat for Humanity Sangamon County! 💙🏠

We are incredibly honored and grateful to announce that we received TWO generous grants from the King’s Daughters Organization totaling $45,000 to support our mission right here in Sangamon County! 🙌

✨ $25,000 awarded for our Critical Home Repair Program
✨ $20,000 awarded for our Wheelchair Ramp Program

These funds will help us continue serving families, seniors, and individuals in our community by providing safer, more accessible housing and helping our neighbors age in place with dignity.

Pictured is our amazing CEO, Candace Silas, whose leadership, faith, and dedication continue to move this mission forward every single day. And today just so happens to be her birthday! 🎉🥳

Candace gives her heart to this community and to Habitat’s mission daily, and we are beyond thankful for her leadership and vision. Help us wish her the happiest birthday while also celebrating this incredible blessing for Habitat! 💙

💜💛 The Good as Gold Springfield Volunteer Awards ceremony took place on Monday evening, where KDO members Cathy Sgro Boerke and Christie Goleman were awarded with the Heart of Gold Award for their exceptional volunteer service to KDO and our community.
