Universal Community Voices Eliminating Disparities

Universal Community Voices Eliminating Disparities UCVED bringing community people and leaders together to learn and work to achieve health equity for all.

UCVED was started in 2007 as a community effort called the "Springfield Health Disparities Project". A group people along with James Florek, Jose Molina, Frank Robinson and many other came together with Health Care for all were concerned about many different health issues, but with one theme, reducing the disparity of access that some people in our communities face, especially our poorer urban com

munities and nation wide. It is well documented fact that, even in this, the richest country in the world, some people have better access to health care than others, and this effects children most of all. This disparate access effects infant mortality, asthma, hear disease, substance abuse, and many other health issues, and not only effects poor people, but the entire community because of the high expense of addressing many of these problems after they have has negative effects on people.
