Beyond the barbecues and gatherings, Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Today, the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Springfield honors and remembers those heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward. May we never forget the true meaning of this day and the freedoms their sacrifice made possible. ❤️🤍💙

We were honored to welcome Theresa Moncrief, Jessica Totter, and Brandey Kitrrell to our Kiwanis meeting to share more about The Neighborhoods at Elfindale, the Vetter Way philosophy, the services they provide, and their upcoming Walk N’ Roll fundraising event on Saturday, June 6.

This event is open to the community, and there are many ways to get involved! Guests are invited to come enjoy the beautiful Elfindale grounds, volunteer to hand out food, or help push residents around the scenic 66-acre property. One full lap equals approximately one mile.

Thank you to Theresa, Jessica, and Brandey for sharing about the incredible work happening at Elfindale and the meaningful ways our community can support their residents!

At the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Springfield, service is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is rooted in one simple belief, that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and succeed.

With us, giving back isn’t just about meeting a need; it’s about creating a ripple effect. When we invest in children, we strengthen families, uplift neighborhoods, and build a stronger, more compassionate community for everyone.

We invite you to be part of that impact. Whether through volunteering, supporting our initiatives, or simply spreading the word, your involvement makes a difference.

Want to see what it’s all about? Join us for a free lunch Tuesdays at noon at Billiards Sports Bar & Grill. Together, we can continue to serve, inspire, and change lives one child at a time. 💙
