Have you ever heard “sitting on the dilation station (aka toilet) helps to speed labor up”. This happens because it puts your pelvis in the optimal position to open up and let baby come through. Well did you know there are “birth chairs” that do the exact same thing!

Did you know a doula does so much more than just attends births!

Here are some things I pride myself on offering:
- Education on pregnancy, birth, postpartum and question answering the entire time we work together
-Advocating for yourself, what you want/desire during your pregnancy/birth experience, your postpartum experience and more
-Talking when you cannot- during labor your job is to exist and focus on bringing your baby earthside. I can be your voice during this time.
- Helping to guide your partner to support you. They can be a huge part of the experience as well and I want them to focus on you so I help guide them in that so they aren’t questioning what to do.
-Pictures/videos and storytelling. I will make sure to document your birthing experience, so that is one less thing you have to worry about!

I am also there pre and post birth for any questions you have and to check on you so you know you are not alone!

Have you ever heard about a postpartum doula?

It is a bit different than a Birth Doula in the sense that I am also here to support you Postpartum!

Here are some of the services I offer as a Postpartum Doula:

-newborn care and education (day or nighttime)
-breastfeeding & pumping support
-physical recovery guidance and education
-infant soothing
-infant feeding
-basic household tasks
-emotional support to parents (I have mental health training)
-meal prep (not offered by all doulas)
-coping skills for new parents
-community resources and recommendations
