Our employee emergency assistance fund, funded by Hamra employees for Hamra employees!

The HERO Fund is an emergency relief fund serving employees of all Hamra Enterprises entities: Wendy’s restaurants in Missouri, Panera Bread bakery-cafes in Greater Boston, Noodles & Company restaurants in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Missouri, a Holiday Inn in Texas and Hamra Management employees. Hamra Enterprises is committed to supporting and respecting its valued employees and the things

that matter to them. We’re here to celebrate the good times together and to reach out and lend a hand during the challenging times. Out of this commitment, The HERO Fund (Hamra Employees Reaching Out) was created as a way for employees to reach out and support each other in times of need. It’s simple to be a HERO: being a HERO can mean donating $1 or more out of each paycheck or making a one-time donation. To ensure the fund can make a difference for as many employees as possible, Hamra Enterprises will match donations to the fund dollar for dollar. Money donated to The HERO Fund is used to help employees in their time of need when they apply for an emergency grant. Grants can help a co-worker rebuild a home after a fire, pay for transitional housing, funeral expenses and more.

Learn more about the HERO Fund Assisted Housing Program, and you might even qualify for a $3,000 5-year forgivable loan towards a down payment.

The HERO Fund Assisted Housing Program provides eligible Chicago Bread and Wendy’s of Chicago employees with education and counseling on buying a home in the Metro Chicago area and, if approved for home purchase, a $3,000 5-year forgivable loan towards the down payment.

- You don’t have to donate to the HERO Fund to apply for grant funding OR to get support from a WorkLife Navigator?

- Many people who apply for a HERO grant never thought they would need one?

- ANYONE at Hamra can contact WorkLife and work with a Navigator (and that some members of Senior staff have worked with a Navigator?)

- Not only you can apply for Tuition Reimbursement if you are in school, but your dependent child can, too.
