that provides immediate access to basic needs and rapid access to community services for homeless and at-risk youth ages 13-24. Rare Breed is a central hub that provides immediate access to basic needs and rapid access to community services for homeless and at-risk youth ages 13-24. Rare Breed uses the drop-in center model to foster a safe, welcoming, low-barrier environment for youth to access cr

ucial services. Rare Breed is conveniently located near public transportation to provide ease of access to Rare Breed and other community resources. Youth can access the following basic needs every visit: hygiene items, showers, clothing, food, and laundry. At the center, youth can also access a computer lab and WiFi, nursery for parenting youth, art and music studios, and a workout room. Case managers can connect youth with shelter and housing assistance, medical and behavioral healthcare, dental and vision care, k-12 and continuing education, and job training. Life Skill groups at 3pm Monday-Friday offer a variety of topics including healthy relationships, leases and landlords, and discovering your skill set. Parenting Group at 10am on Thursdays offers a space for parents under 25 to meet other young parents, share parenting tips, and talk with case managers.

Rare Breed is currently in need of paper plates to help serve meals and snacks to the youth who come through our doors each day. Small items like this make a big difference in helping us keep our space running smoothly and welcoming for everyone.

Make dinner count today, Monday, January 12, from 4–9 PM at Bambinos Cafe on Battlefield (E Battlefield Location). For just a few hours, 10% of all dine-in and carryout purchases will support The Kitchen, Inc. and our mission to help families find stability, housing, and hope.

No tickets. No extra steps. Just enjoy a great meal and know your dinner is directly helping families in our community take steps toward a safer, more secure future.
