Back-to-school season means Box Tops for Education is back too. Over the last thirty years, General Mills has raised $1 billion for schools nationwide through the program. This year, in partnership with Universal Products & Experiences, General Mills is reuniting the cast of Saved by the Bell for a new back-to-school campaign and donating an additional $10,000 to thirty schools across the country. A good reminder of the impact manufacturers have in our communities, on the shop floor and off.

IMA President & CEO Mark Denzler spent this morning at the University Club of Chicago with United CEO Scott Kirby at the Crain's Chicago Business 2026 Power Breakfast. ✈️

The conversation centered on “Steering Aviation’s Future: Innovation, Sustainability & Global Connections” and Scott brought the energy and vision you’d expect from a leader at the helm of one of the world’s largest airlines.

Moderated by Crain’s President Jim Kirk, the wide-ranging discussion covered United’s impressive growth up 20% in numerous markets along with customer service, FAA modernization, O’Hare’s transformation, the importance of dual-hub airports, and Chicago’s role as a global aviation powerhouse.

One clear takeaway: Chicago has an incredible opportunity to lead the future of aviation, but we need to avoid unforced errors like the proposed head tax that can impact how the city is perceived by businesses and global partners.

A timely, insightful conversation about keeping Chicago connected, competitive and moving forward. 🌎✈️
