Traces back to pre-Columbian times, to the tribes of Nahu and Aztecs (in today’s Mexico) today we celebrate Día de los Mu***os. Unlike Halloween in which the lines of the living and the spirits are blurred and we dress up to hide from the spirits, this day is about honoring those who past away. It is seen as the next cycle after life and helping their loved one travel through the nine levels before reaching their final resting place.

Hope to see you at Springfield Square in today’s festivities and learn more about this special day in the Hispanic culture.

SNHS participated in Trunk and Treat last night at Springfield High. One of the best things about being part of Springfield High School is the close community ties among the students. Here we have football quarterback swing by to say hey to our president and vice president. And tomorrow, they will swing by and watch the quarterback do his thing!
