Demolay Brotherhood is forever.
Past State Master Councilor Robert Kennedy presented a 50 Year Pin to Past Master Councilor Michael Zoelzer.

The two have been Demolay brothers and friends for more than 50 years.

Today we honor Senior DeMolay Frank O. Melkush.

He held the office of scribe for the chapter and the Representative DeMolay Club. He graduated Springfield High School 1936, an Eagle Scout and as an adult assistant Scout Master of troop 23.

Brother Melkush enlisted on 16, December 1941 he was commissioned an officer and instructor in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was transferred to England in 1944 and killed in a crash of his P-47 in Madalay England on 26, May 1944.

He was laid to rest in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield.

Painted in 1978 and featured on the cover of the Northern Light Scottish Rite publication in November 1982.

The Springfield Masonic Center cleaned and repaired two other paintings a portrait of Past Grand Master Norman Buecker and a scene of Knights at the temple in Jerusalem.
