At the Springfield Boys & Girls Club, young people find a safe, supportive place to learn, play, build friendships, and discover new opportunities every day.

As our members prepare to head back to school, the Springfield Boys & Girls Club would like to extend our sincere thanks to Board Member Alison Donnelly and Raymond James for their generous donation of back-to-school supplies.

This thoughtful gift included everything from notebooks, markers, crayons, and supply pouches to inspirational stress balls and sensory fidget rings.

What makes this donation especially meaningful is the recognition that being prepared for school is about more than academics. The start of a new school year can bring excitement, but it can also bring uncertainty, stress, and nerves. 🌟 Today's Job Ready participants. Tomorrow's workforce leaders.

This summer, our Job Ready teens showed what it means to work hard, support others, and step outside of their comfort zones.

The Job Ready program helps youth ages 13-15 develop critical life and career skills through hands-on experiences, career exploration, teamwork, financial literacy, and workplace readiness training.

Throughout the summer, these remarkable young people helped support programs across the Club while gaining valuable experience and confidence along the way.

We are incredibly grateful for their positive attitudes, willingness to help, and commitment to learning.

One of our favorite traditions is baking with Miss Evelyn!

Over the summer, our young bakers rolled up their sleeves and got to work creating delicious homemade pastries. Along the way, they practiced teamwork, followed recipes, learned new kitchen skills, and most importantly, had a lot of fun. The wonderful aroma filled the building and had everyone asking, "What's baking today?"

A special thank you to Miss Evelyn for sharing her passion, patience, and talent with our members. Experiences like these help create lasting memories and give our youth opportunities to learn new skills in a fun and supportive environment.

We are so grateful for volunteers like Miss Evelyn who make our Club feel like home. 💙🥧
