What an incredible way to wrap up the school year! We’re so proud of our youth for their hard work, growth, and all they’ve accomplished this year. 💙

🎓 $150 scholarship available per child, per week

📌 Reminder: All payments must be submitted by Friday at noon to attend the following week.

A birthday should be a time for celebration, and thanks to the generosity of attendees at the Massachusetts Association of Contributory Retirement Systems (MACRS) Conference, more local children will have the opportunity to celebrate their special day at home.

This week, conference attendees assembled Birthday Cake Kits filled with cake mix, frosting, a cake pan, directions, and other celebration essentials that will be distributed to youth and families through the Springfield Boys & Girls Club.

We are grateful to the Springfield Fire Fighters Union for recommending our Club as the recipient of this meaningful community service project. Thank you to MACRS, the conference attendees, and everyone who contributed supplies and time to make this possible.

Every child deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday, and these kits will help make that happen.

Science, creativity, and a little bit of gummy bear magic made for an amazing STEM Day at the Club!

Our members put their problem-solving skills to the test through hands-on experiments and challenges, including:

🧸 Shape-Shifting Gummy Bears
🚢 The Penny Boat Challenge
🍓 Extracting Strawberry DNA
🏗️ The Gummy Bear Tower Challenge

From engineering boats that could hold the most pennies to discovering the DNA hidden inside a strawberry, our young scientists explored, experimented, and learned through play. The room was filled with curiosity, teamwork, and plenty of excitement as members tackled each challenge and shared their discoveries.

At the Springfield Boys & Girls Club, STEM learning helps our youth build critical thinking, creativity, and confidence while having fun along the way.

What an inspiring evening at the Youth of the Year Dinner held Wednesday night at the beautiful Storrowton Carriage House celebrating the incredible 2026 Western Mass Youths of the Year!

A very special congratulations goes to our amazing Springfield Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year, Gabriel! We are beyond proud of the leadership, kindness, determination, and heart he brings to our Club each and every day. Watching Gabriel share his story and represent our community was truly inspiring.

The evening was filled with powerful stories of resilience, growth, and hope — reminding all of us of the incredible potential within our young people when they are supported and encouraged to succeed.

Congratulations to every nominee and participant who took the stage this year. Your futures are bright, and we cannot wait to see all that you accomplish. 💙

Something delicious is happening in the Kitchen with Ms. Evelyn! 👩‍🍳✨

Today, our Club is filled with the amazing smell of fresh cooking as our members learn new recipes, practice kitchen skills, and have fun creating together. From mixing and measuring to teamwork and creativity, these moments are about so much more than food — they’re building confidence and lifelong skills one recipe at a time.
