📣📣 Calling all parent/guardian volunteers!

📣📣 Volunteering to help with an after school activity allows your Hawk to join the class for free! No knowledge of the subject matter is necessary. Our parent/guardian volunteers assist with check in and dismissal from the class and help the instructor make sure the kids are getting the most out of the programming. Accommodations can be made if you've got a pre-planned appointment or an emergency arises.

📣📣 These volunteer positions are required to hold the activities! Classes will be canceled if we cannot find a volunteer. So far, we have none. Please consider helping out.

Happy first week back to school, Hunt Valley! The PTA is busy working on events and activities for this coming school year and we'd love to have you join us. One amazing way to support the PTA and all it does is by purchasing a membership! Signing up for the PTA does not mean you commit to in-person volunteer hours. For Grades 3-6, CodeFuture is again holding Coding Club at Hunt Valley! This club is taught by bright young minds from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. All experience levels are welcome. Space is limited, so sign up today!

As with our other after school programs, a parent volunteer is required to hold this enrichment. Volunteering will provide your student with a sign up to the club, free of charge. If you are interested in being Coding Club's parent volunteer, please reach out to [email protected].

Time to flex that creativity muscle Hawks!

Hunt Valley will participate in the national Reflections art competition again this year. Students can enter as many categories as they'd like, or even have multiple entries in each category.

Hunt Valley will hold its Reflections contest in the fall, with the entry window closing in late October. Winners will advance on to the Fairfax County Reflections contest. County level winners will then compete at State level.
