We had a great time this summer with the Looking for Lincoln LEAD program!

Nineteen middle school students from across Illinois spent June 21-26 in Springfield immersed in Abraham Lincoln’s five pillars of leadership as part of the LEAD: Spirit of Lincoln Youth Leadership Academy.

Learning from Lincoln scholars and reenactors, mentors and each other – and through visits to historic Lincoln sites – the students developed individual plans outlining how they could lead in their own schools and communities.
