Greene County, Missouri Alliance for Drug Endangered Children Greene County DEC works to identify, protect, and support children exposed to environments where abuse, manufacturing, or sales of drugs occur

The Greene County Alliance for Drug Endangered Children is proud to provide training and support to local communities and agencies who are interested in learning more about DEC or starting their own alliance. Completed projects:

*Developed a local response protocol for first responders when children are located in drug endangered environments.
*Developed an app for smartphones and tablets to pr

ovide continuing education to professionals and provide resources for use with families (The Greene County DEC App is available in the Apple Store, Google Play, and Windows Store)

Current Projects:

*Developing a shortened online training module of the CORE DEC Training, focusing on issues directly affecting our community, in hopes to bring further awareness to the issue of Drug Endangered Children.

While we think that every day should be DEC Awareness Day, the fourth Wednesday of every April as DEC Awareness Day, which also corresponds with Child Abuse Awareness Month. As you may already know, are affected by their parent's substance abuse and drug activity every day. Often times these affects are in the form of child abuse and neglect...so this is a great opportunity to bring light to during a month that many are already focusing on children.

On DEC Awareness Day, we encourage professionals, families, and communities to raise awareness around . Why you ask? Well it is pretty simple... because we all want healthy children and families, right!
