Your summer should be filled with play, not preventable accidents. Before your kids head outside to play, remember these important safety tips during Electrical Safety Month:

⚡ Stay away from overhead power lines and electrical equipment.
🌳 Never climb trees near power lines.
🪁 Fly kites, drones and model airplanes in open areas, far from power lines.
🐾 Never enter a substation to retrieve a pet, ball or toy.
💧 Keep water and electricity far apart.

🎓 Graduation is a time to celebrate, but metallic balloons can create serious electrical hazards if released outdoors.

During Electrical Safety Month, remind families to keep celebration balloons indoors when possible, or tied down and away from power lines. Metallic balloons can conduct electricity, cause power outages and damage electrical equipment. And remember, if a balloon gets caught in a power line, stay at least 10 feet away and call the electric utility.🎈 Learn more:
