The Performance Project/First Generation

The Performance Project/First Generation An arts community of many ages and ancestries engaging young people in artistic & leadership training

We envision a world in which all people strive for personal and social liberation, where all individuals and cultures are honored, embrace interconnectedness, and we all are free to achieve our full potential. The Performance Project focuses on intergenerational and intercultural theater and visual art collaborations and creating a caring loving and connected community. Through our collaborative c

reative processes, performances, and visual art projects, we engage in dialogue about oppression and liberation, and celebrate our humanity and connection through the arts.

The Performance Project not a program—it’s a living, breathing ecosystem/organism where every part is interconnect and relies on the other, growing and evolving through the creativity, energy, and care of everyone involved!!
Our Ubuntu gems (7-12 year old) Youth mentors and youth artists, associate artists, staff, families, and community partners each bring something unique that helps us to continue the essential work of supporting youth and families, creating art and connection together, visioning and manifesting liberation and a better world for EVERYBODY!

June 11 is 413 Gives. This is a day for our community to come together and invest in local organizations doing meaningful work across Western Massachusetts.
Every gift, big or small, really makes a difference in times where federal funding has been cut. Thank you for being part of our community. 🌱
