Through the leadership and generosity of two of Amy’s dear friends, the Amy Keil Schmidt Early Lung Cancer Detection Program is expanding access to life-saving screenings across central and southern Illinois.

Illinois residents will have easier access to life-saving lung cancer screenings and advanced technology thanks to the new Amy Keil Schmidt Early Lung Cancer Detection Program, created to honor the Springfield attorney.
Prior to her death last year, Schmidt emphasized the importance of early cancer detection in a Facebook post: "If caught at Stage 1, totally treatable. It can happen to you, don’t let it."
