Goals
We want to eventually have our own building where we can be used as a community resource unit. In the resource unit we want to be able to provide free GED classes, parenting classes, girls group, boys groups, computer lab and a job training program. Provide a scholarship for a male and female in the Springfield area. Provide a food pantry for those in need. Youth Sports
At this time we ha
ve one youth football team the Springfield Ravens. Ravens stands for Respect Attitude Vision Empowerment Nobility and Strength www.springfieldravensyouth.net. Those 6 attributes are things that we feel our important for our youth to understand and exemplify. It is our goal to start other sports team for various ages both male and female. Athletics is a great outlet for youth that helps occupy their time. Keeping the youth active is important for their physical fitness, it helps build their self -esteem and teaches them how to be play with others. It also gives them the opportunity to be a part of something positive and good. We want to be able to provide not just athletics but also a venue and place where youth feel comfortable expressing themselves and allows them to be themselves. Family Support
We want to provide a resource for families that could just need to know there is someone out there that is willing to help them. Help them build a resume, fill out applications, job leads, parenting skills and anything else we can help with.
