The Alliance of Therapy Pets is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization connecting highly trained domesticated therapy animals with persons in need of healing, companionship, and growth, regardless of a person's age or abilities. The Alliance of Therapy Pets' goal is to provide comfort, support, and encouragement through animal assisted activities (AAA), animal assisted therapy (AAT), or animal assist

ed interventions (AAI) to help people overcome issues of sorrow, self-confidence, memory, below grade reading, mental or physical handicaps, aid in physical rehabilitation, or regain independence. We offer unconditional love and acceptance. If you are interested in joining us to see what we are all about, please feel free to clip on the leash, bring your dog and drop in to any of our events! Unless otherwise noted, these will be informal gatherings and your dog does not need to be certified to attend.

Yesterday, Alliance of Therapy Pets members enjoyed a wonderful Walkabout at At Home! 🐾

These outings provide a great opportunity for our therapy teams to practice good manners, build confidence, and experience new environments while spending time with fellow members.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it a fun and successful evening. We love watching our teams continue to grow and prepare for sharing comfort and smiles with our community! 💙🐶

Walkabouts are valuable training opportunities for existing ATP teams, as well as prospective teams.

We had a great time at the Springfield Cardinals Bark in the Park today! ⚾🐾

Our therapy teams enjoyed watching some baseball, sharing information about pet therapy, and spending a beautiful day with lots of wonderful dogs and their people.

What a fun day at Downtown Dog Day! 🐾

Alliance of Therapy Pets had a wonderful time spending the day surrounded by so many amazing dogs, their humans, and a community that clearly loves all things canine. Events like this are such a great opportunity for us to connect with others, share what pet therapy is all about, and spread awareness about the comfort, support, and joy therapy animals can bring to people of all ages.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us, ask questions, and love on our therapy dogs. We always enjoy getting to meet fellow dog lovers and talk about the impact these special animals make in our community.

We loved being part of Downtown Dog Day and hope to see everyone again soon! 🐶💙

We had such a great time yesterday at the Missouri State University Block Party! 🐾🤍

Our therapy teams loved spending the evening with students and faculty, soaking up all the pets, smiles, and special moments that make these events so meaningful. There’s nothing better than seeing how much comfort and joy our dogs bring to the campus community!🐾

We were also so happy to be alongside Pet Therapy of the Ozarks PTO! It’s always wonderful to see therapy pet groups come together to share in the mission of spreading kindness, connection, and support. Moments like these truly highlight the impact we can make when we work together. 🐶✨

A big thank you to Missouri State University for inviting us to be part of such a fun and welcoming event. We’re always grateful for the opportunity to connect with your amazing campus! Go Bears!!🐻

Such a great turnout for last night’s Walkabout! 🐶💛

14 therapy teams and prospective teams joined us to work on training in a real-world setting! We’re so grateful for everyone who showed up with patience, positivity, and wagging tails. 🐾🩵

These outings help build confident therapy dogs and even stronger connections between handler and pup! Thank you all to were able to come last night!🐾
