We lasted 10 years and something that started as friends coming around to my house for dinner grew into a charitible society serving over 60 people a year with professional caterers and pipers. I regret we never got to the dancing, but we had amazing times and incredible speeches and so many laughs, but alas we were not covid proof and like many organisations we have to call it a day. Thank you for the memories all. Always keep Scotland and the bard on your heart. They will always welcome you into theirs.

As the time approached for Burns, I am more and more sad that it is cancelled this year! I am sure I am not along. I know the timezones are not in our favor, but here is an idea that might help everyone enjoy Burns a little and help a good cause too.And all this is live from Burns Cottage...

To celebrate Burns night in January 2021 The National Trust for Scotland are hosting a virtual Burns Night filled with music, poetry, celebrities, and live entertainment from Burns Birthplace for people across Scotland, and beyond, to enjoy.

After getting the results of our survey and talking to various people, I am saddened to announce that Burns Supper 2021 will NOT happen.

It has always been my aim to eventually do more events throughout the year and to grow this society to a point where we can also support aligned worthy causes. We have had a good run, with lots of great memories and fun times. I would love this tradition to resume on 2022 and I am reaching out to you all to ask you to kindly donate what you would have spent on this event to the society.

Thank you for all your support and generosity and please stay safe and well during this holiday period. Anyone who would like to host their own Burns Supper in January in whatever saftey bubble they are in, please send a message and I will forward all the recipes and procedures for the night.

With the pandemic still very much upon on, we are in a very different place than last year and it is almost impossible to think about those simpler times when we were free to congregate as we wanted. I think this will still be the case in January and so I wanted to poll people to find out what they would like to do about Burns 2021
