Chlamydia

What it is ❓: A bacterial infection that can cause long-term health problems if left untreated.

How you get it ❓ : Chlamydia is transmitted through s*xual contact and the exchange of bodily fluids in va**nal secretions or semen (cum). Chlamydia infections can occur in the va**na, p***s, a**s, throat, and eyes.

🧐Symptoms: Sometimes people don’t have any symptoms of the infection.

👉For someone with a va**na, symptoms can be:

abnormal va**nal discharge
burning feeling when p*einglower back/abdominal pain
pain during s*x
fever, nausea, bleeding between periods

👉For someone with a p***s, symptoms can be:

discharge from p***s
burning feeling when p*eing
itching/burning around p***s opening
swelling of testicles

How we test for it ❓: Chlamydia testing might include a urine (p*e) sample or a swab in the affected area like the va**na, urethra (where p*e comes out), a**s, throat, or eye. These swabs can be done by you or your healthcare provider. Chlamydia can affect more than just ge****ls.
