Period Poverty Awareness Week shines a necessary light on the critical lack of access to menstrual products.

Research indicates that over one-third of low-wage women report missing work or school due to a lack of supplies, significantly impacting their mental health, educational opportunities, and earning potential.

At OACAC Family Planning, we believe that access to menstrual products is a matter of health, dignity, and equity.

To keep supporting the community and break the stigma, we offer pads and tampons to anyone in need. Please, visit us.

No appointment needed, no questions asked.

Missourians are sending a clear message: Access to birth control matters.

A new poll from The Right Time found that:
💛 85% support access to all methods of birth control
💛 77% believe elected officials should support birth control access
💛 74% support access to a full year’s supply of birth control
💛 81% support access to emergency contraception (EC) for survivors of s*xual assault in emergency departments

At the same time, people are still facing real barriers like cost, insurance coverage, and misinformation.

That’s why solutions like Annual Supply of Contraception, the CARE Act, and initiatives like The Right Time matter. Everyone deserves the freedom to make decisions about their health and future without unnecessary barriers.

April is STI Awareness Month

*ANYONE who has any kind of s*x with a partner can get a s*xually transmitted infection (STI), since many STIs have no signs or symptoms in most people, the only way to know if you have an STI is to get tested.

Always see a health care provider right away for testing if you have any symptoms such as ge***al itching, sores, or discharge. These are common signs of a number of STIs, but they could also be a sign of other medical conditions. Testing is the only way to know what’s causing your symptoms (and it’s the first step to getting you the relief you need).

Where can you get tested? here, at OACAC Family Planning Give us call 417-864-3410

📣 Final call: Join Beacon Under the Dome!

On Tuesday, March 24th, advocates from across Missouri will gather at the State Capitol to speak directly with lawmakers about access to s*xual and reproductive healthcare.

If you’ve been looking for a way to take action, this is it. We’ll start the morning with a short advocacy training before meeting with legislators, followed by lunch, and a group debrief.

Your voice belongs in these conversations. Let’s show up together. ✨
