FOA Springfield/Clark County We offer support and education programs for families, friends and persons in recovery

FOA rebuilds families and transforms lives through the 3 E’s; educate, empower and embrace. Through weekly meetings in various Ohio counties, navigation, one-on-one phone support and outreach opportunities, FOA is a sought after and respected resource in the Miami Valley. FOA is unique because we provide support for the entire family and advocate for individuals to find their face and voice, which is key to eliminating the stigma associated with addiction.

To all who made the Clark County FOA a most healing and safe space for all of us who have passed through these doors (several doors), thank you. To Brad, Melanie, Trish Williams-Chase , and Lori Erion - you as well as everyone who has been a part of this amazing group, have impacted so many lives for the better. While this chapter has ended, and this door closed, there are always avenues for help, a shoulder and an ear for those who need support, understanding and empowerment. For those who have loved ones in active addiction or recovery, we are here for you always. ❤️💜💛

With this being the last month that we will be open, we will NOT have a meeting this evening, but will have meetings on Tuesday, March 10, and Tuesday, March 24 before we close our doors. If you have come to our meetings in the past, I would love for you to come and catch up. Hope to see you then!

It is with heavy hearts that FOA Springfield/Clark County will be closing its doors effective March 31, 2026.

For years, we have been honored to serve as a safe and welcoming space for families and loved ones affected by substance use disorders. Our mission has always been to educate, empower, and support those who walked through our doors, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who trusted us with their stories and their journeys.

Since the COVID pandemic, attendance has steadily declined. Despite sincere efforts to collaborate and grow within the community, we have reached a point where our meeting numbers are no longer sufficient to sustain our organization financially. This decision was not made lightly, and our greatest regret is not being able to continue serving the families who looked to us for understanding and support.

The mission of FOA has touched many lives, and it has been a privilege to be part of that work. Thank you to every person who shared time, courage, and compassion with us along the way.

As we move forward, we encourage you to hold onto the Serenity Prayer—for strength, for grace, and for guidance—just for today.

We will have a regular meeting tonight, with several in March.
