It is with heavy hearts that FOA Springfield/Clark County will be closing its doors effective March 31, 2026.
For years, we have been honored to serve as a safe and welcoming space for families and loved ones affected by substance use disorders. Our mission has always been to educate, empower, and support those who walked through our doors, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who trusted us with their stories and their journeys.
Since the COVID pandemic, attendance has steadily declined. Despite sincere efforts to collaborate and grow within the community, we have reached a point where our meeting numbers are no longer sufficient to sustain our organization financially. This decision was not made lightly, and our greatest regret is not being able to continue serving the families who looked to us for understanding and support.
The mission of FOA has touched many lives, and it has been a privilege to be part of that work. Thank you to every person who shared time, courage, and compassion with us along the way.
As we move forward, we encourage you to hold onto the Serenity Prayer—for strength, for grace, and for guidance—just for today.
We will have a regular meeting tonight, with several in March.
