This week, we are praying for the Jewish people living in Australia. There are approximately 117,200 Jewish people who call Australia home. Pray with us that they will come to know Yeshua (Jesus) as their Messiah and bring blessing to the people of Australia.

Please pray for their safety as well. In the wake of the Bondi Beach shooting last year, we want to pray against the hatred and antisemitism that continues to threaten the Jewish people, not just in Australia, but around the world.

Just a small correction. The total number of the massacred on that day came to 1770. That is the real number, that nobody bothers to mention.

There were 300 unidentified body parts still in the morgue 6 months after the massacre. Unidentified because they were from different people put all together in same bags. I will spare the readers the rest of the gory details. But we will definitely do a post on the fate of those body parts.

The foreign nationals that were massacred along with the Israelis were not included in the original 1200 number. There were also some people missing who were never found and accounted for, both Israelis and foreigners.

May all their memories be a blessing for all of us and for Israel.

This week we are praying for the Jewish people living in Germany. There are approximately 125,700 to 200,000 Jewish people who call Germany home.

Pray with us that the Jewish people living there will be receptive to the Gospel message and that they will accept Yeshua (Jesus) as their Messiah.

Pray for their protection and safety from those who have ill will towards Israel and the Jewish people.

Pray as well for them to have favor with their neighbors and among the leaders of Germany. That they would be a blessing to the people there.

Tonight ushers in the final Fall calendar event in the Jewish world… Simchat Torah. This is the time of rolling the Torah scroll back to the beginning and rejoicing in the Torah.
We can rejoice that Adonai has revealed who He is and His love and faithfulness to keep His word throughout time.

During Temple times, the water drawing ceremony was performed each of the 7 days of Sukkot. The priest would bring a golden pitcher from the Temple to the pool of Siloam, fill it and return to circle and pour the water at the altar.
It was during this time we read Yeshua's prolamation: IF ANYONE IS THIRSTY, LET HIM COME TO ME AND DRINK...John 7:37
This Living Water is still available today!

During Sukkot, one of the Jewish traditions was to have 3-4 Great Lights in the Temple at the court of the Women, near the Treasury. These 70 foot candles, the wicks made from the priests' garments, would shine out over homes of Jerusalem. At the foot of these candles-all would be rejoicing.
The ceremony pointed to the hopes of Israel...What G-d would provide in Messiah. It was at this site, on the 8th day of the Feast, when these candles were no longer lit, that Messiah Jesus stood and declared:
"I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will no longer walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." Johns 8:12
His light continues to shine for us and through us...to guide the way for others!

This week we are praying for the Jewish people living in Belgium. There are estimated to be about 29,000 to 42,000 Jewish people in Belgium, with the vast majority living in the two major cities of Brussels and Antwerp. In fact, Antwerp has the largest population of ultra-orthodox and Hasidic Jews in all of Europe.

Pray with us that Yeshua/Jesus would be revealed to them as the Jewish Messiah, that their hearts will be softened to accept Him as their savior, and that the Lord would keep them and protect them from those who would seek to do them harm.

Understanding the Jewish identity of Jesus leads to a deeper comprehension of our faith and shapes how we live it out today.
