What a special weekend with partners in El Paso,TX!
Even though it is August and not Pesach season, we were asked to do a Seder for the WTX Section, led by Presbyter Tommie Armenta. We met many new friends at the luncheon, then were privileged to repeat the Seder at Templo la Trinidad Church for their Missions Convention! What beautiful and receptive people and amazing pastors Tommie and Lulu! We were blessed to share and see the openness to Adonai’s People and their position in G-d’s redemptive plan for all mankind.

SHABBAT SHALOM

The Bible was written on three continents.

Asia.
Africa.
Europe.

In three languages.

Hebrew.
Aramaic.
Greek.

By more than 40 different men:

Shepherds.
Kings.
Prophets.
Fishermen.
A tax collector.
A doctor.
A tentmaker.

Written in palaces and prisons.
In deserts and cities.
In freedom and in exile.

Across roughly 1,500 years.

66 books.
One continuous story:

Creation.
Fall.
Redemption.
Yeshua.

Most of these writers never met.
No committee planned it.
No human editor stitched it together.

Now look at this image.

It visualizes tens of thousands of cross-references throughout the Bible. Every arc connects one passage of Scripture to another - sometimes written hundreds of years apart.

Genesis connects to the Prophets.
The Prophets connect to the Gospels.
The Gospels connect to the Epistles.
And it all comes together in Revelation.

The Bible opens with the Tree of Life in Genesis and closes with the Tree of Life in Revelation.

Different writers.
Different centuries.
Different cultures.

Yet one voice.

How?

Because behind the human hands was a divine Author.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God…”
2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV)

Men held the pens.

But God wrote the story.

BECAUSE YOU GIVE… JH was recently able to meet needs at the orphanage in Gambella, Ethiopia! Turn your sound up to hear their Thanks.
This is a Best practice orphanage where the children live with families and come to the facility daily for meals and schooling and community. Pastor Bole is in the center as he made rounds to congregations he has helped to start, many by our students. YOU are helping to transform lives as many of these children are refugees from the So Sudan war.

Tisha B’Av, 7/22-23,is when the Jewish people mourn the destruction of both the first and second Temples. This day is considered the saddest day on the Jewish calendar. Too many other tragedies have occurred to the Jewish people on this date to be coincidental.
We pray that in mourning and reflection, the love and faithfulness of Adonai to preserve and keep His Word may be revealed to His chosen people.
