đź’™ Thank You, S&K Buick GMC! đź’™

Prevent Child Abuse Illinois is incredibly grateful to S&K Buick in Springfield for their generous donation and their continued commitment to supporting children and families across Illinois.

During April’s Child Abuse Prevention Month, we were especially honored to partner with an organization whose values so closely align with our mission — creating safe, healthy, and hopeful futures for all children. Their long-standing support helps us continue the critical work of prevention, education, and advocacy throughout our communities.

We were proud to celebrate this partnership during Monday’s check presentation event at S&K Buick, and we sincerely thank their entire team for their generosity and dedication.

Together, we are helping strengthen families and prevent child abuse before it starts. đź’™

We are proud to celebrate the 🎨14th Annual Child Abuse Prevention Month Art Display🎨

Each year, children — and even some adults — share meaningful artwork expressing what prevention means to them and why protecting children matters.

đź’™We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every artist who submitted their work this year. Your creativity, courage, and thoughtful messages help bring awareness to an important cause and inspire our community to continue working together to keep children safe, supported, and valued.

We also want to thank Paramount School of the Arts for hosting the display this year 🖼️

It truly takes a village. On Saturday, April 25, the Cook County Prevention Specialist shared resources on Shaken Baby Syndrome prevention, Safe Sleep for Babies and Positive Parenting at the It Takes a Village Community Baby Shower & Resource Fair. Hosted by the Chicago Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in partnership with City Colleges of Chicago and the March of Dimes, the event supported student parents and local families with essential baby supplies and valuable education. We were able to serve over 130 registered families, and we look forward to the possibility of future collaborations as we continue to uplift and empower our community.
