About its Founder/CEO/President Dr. Mecca

Reverend Dr. Marshall, affectionately known as "Dr. Mecca" is a Pastoral Christian Counselor and Life Coach with over 30 years of experience dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Her extensive background includes serving as a Court Appointed Advocate for abused and neglected children and working in shelters for women e

scaping abuse. She serves as an associate minister at Restored Life Ministries, under the direction of Pastor, Servant Jermaine Maynard. Her Calling & Ministry

Christ called, and she answered! Under the mentorship of Bishop Rev. Dr. Olie Burton, she became a licensed minister in 2019 and an ordained reverend in 2021. With a deep commitment to spreading the gospel, she focuses on teaching and preaching God's Word. While she serves in the pulpit, she recognizes that her true assignment lies in connecting with those in the streets. Grounded in her Christian faith and fueled by a spirit of advocacy stemming from her own experiences with abuse, Dr. Mecca founded Unspoken Courageβ€”a christian counseling and coaching ministry aimed at giving voice to those silenced by life's harsh realities. Through life coaching, christian counseling, and advocacy, her mission is to empower survivors while helping them reclaim their lives and navigate their journeys toward emotional healing and restoration through spiritual counseling. To further her impactful work, she established Breaking Free to Be Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on educating and training communities to prevent and reduce instances of sexual assault and domestic violence, particularly in African American and faith-based communities. πŸš” WHAT IF ONE CONVERSATION COULD SAVE A LIFE? πŸš”

This Saturday at the BF2B Teen Summit, our youth won't just sit and listen.

They will learn.
They will engage.
They will participate.

Through the Springfield Police Division's interactive workshop, **"How to Stop for a Cop,"** students will gain practical knowledge that could make all the difference during a police encounter.

This isn't about politics.

This is about preparation.

This is about helping our youth understand:
βœ” What to do during a traffic stop
βœ” How to communicate effectively
βœ” How to remain calm under pressure
βœ” How to make safe decisions in critical moments

And most importantly...

They won't just hear about it.

They will practice it through realistic role play scenarios.

Because when emotions are high, knowledge matters.

Because when uncertainty exists, understanding matters.

Because every parent wants their child to come home safely.

We have lost too many young lives.
Too many futures.
Too many dreams.

If a conversation can build understanding...
If a workshop can build confidence...
If a role play exercise can help a young person make a safer decision...

Then it is worth having.

πŸ’œ Real life skills.
πŸ’œ Real life impact.
πŸ’œ And real lives saved.

Our youth deserve more.

More than survival.
More than statistics.
More than being overlooked.

They deserve opportunity.
They deserve guidance.
They deserve people willing to invest in their future.

That is why we created the BF2B Teen Summit.

This Saturday, we are bringing together speakers, mentors, community leaders, and professionals to pour into the next generation and remind them that their story is still being written.

One day can change a mind.
One connection can change a life.

And one young person choosing hope can change an entire future.

πŸ’œ Join us this Saturday.

🚨 THIS WORKSHOP COULD SAVE A LIFE. 🚨

Too many families are grieving.
Too many young lives are being lost.
Too many encounters are ending in tragedy instead of understanding.

At Breaking Free To Be Inc., we refuse to sit back and act like these conversations are not necessary.

That is why we are proud to partner with the Springfield Police Division for a powerful and interactive workshop:

πŸ”Ή β€œHow To Stop For A Cop” πŸ”Ή

This is more than a presentation.
This is real-life education.
Real-life role play.
Real-life awareness.
And potentially… real lives saved.

Youth will learn:
βœ” What to do during police encounters
βœ” How to remain safe and calm
βœ” Communication and decision-making skills
βœ” How positive interactions can change outcomes

This workshop is designed to educate, empower, and bridge understanding between youth and law enforcement through honest conversation and life-saving role play scenarios.

Because our youth deserve knowledge.
Our youth deserve guidance.
And our youth deserve the opportunity to make it home safely.
