Ozarks AAZK

Ozarks AAZK Ozarks AAZK is a local chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers AAZK allows this avenue through conservation efforts locally or nationally.

Ozarks AAZK is made up of animal professionals from Aquarium at the Boardwalk in Branson, MO, Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium, and Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield, MO. All members have a passion for wildlife and AAZK gives members an avenue to help exotic and domestic animals around the world. AAZK also gives animal professionals an opportunity to learn the newest techniques in animal husbandry, training, and networking.

Happy International Flamingo Day! There are 6 distinct species of flamingos around the world. A group of Chilean Flamingos calls DPZ their home! Chileans are originally from South America, from Ecuador and Peru to Chile and Argentina, their main habitat being lagoons and alkaline lakes.
Chilean Flamingo bills are equipped with comb like structures that enable it to filter food, mostly algea, plankton, crustaceans, insects, mollusks and other invertebrate! The more you know! 🦩

This Saturday, April 4th, is our 11th Annual Disc'n for Cheetahs Disc Golf event! Proceeds will go to Action for Cheetahs in Kenya! This organization promotes conservation of Cheetahs through research, awareness, and community participation in Kenya!
A raffle will be held at the tournament along with any donations!
Come support, come to the zoo, and most importantly good luck to all the Disc Golfers that have signed up!
