Ozarks AAZK

Ozarks AAZK Ozarks AAZK is a local chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers AAZK allows this avenue through conservation efforts locally or nationally.

Ozarks AAZK is made up of animal professionals from Aquarium at the Boardwalk in Branson, MO, Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium, and Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield, MO. All members have a passion for wildlife and AAZK gives members an avenue to help exotic and domestic animals around the world. AAZK also gives animal professionals an opportunity to learn the newest techniques in animal husbandry, training, and networking.

Thanks for Partying with us keepers! Because of you Ozarks AAZK was able to raise almost $1700 for rhino conservation! A big thank you to everyone who donated, bought raffle tickets, and just came out and had a good time! Can't wait to see those of you who won tours again!
Also a huge shout-out to the people who donated baskets, artist who put in beautiful artwork, and to the keepers who stayed and put this event together!

Its Party time Peeps! Tickets can be bought at the entrance! Come out and have a good time and buy some raffle tickets to win some AWESOME tours and prizes! Q and A time at some of the exhibits will be from 6-7 and raffle winners will be announced at 7:30 at the train station!
As a reminder the fair is in town, so plan ahead for some traffic!

To round off Zookeeper Week, a few of our keepers shared why they love being a zookeeper.
Zookeeping is alot of hard work, but its also so very rewarding. And while every day isn't going to be a great day, the zoo professionals at Dickerson Park Zoo make their animals welfare and happiness their main focus. Thank you guys for putting in the hard work and the long hours/days to make sure the zoo is taken care of. Your dedication and love for what you do is outstanding. A week isn't long enough to celebrate all of you.
