Our hearts go out to Smilin’ Steve Pharmacies and the patients who relied on them. The sudden closure of their Springfield, Ludlow, and Ottauquechee Pharmacies is a significant loss for our community. We are welcoming patients at our three pharmacy locations in Springfield, Londonderry, and Charlestown, NH.

❗Important for Medicaid Patients❗
Due to a temporary contracting delay, we are not currently able to accept Medicaid at our pharmacy counters. We expect to be able to fully serve Medicaid patients no later than July. If you are affected by this, please reach out to our Community Health Team for options: (802) 886-8998.

If you would like to transfer your prescriptions to a North Star Health Pharmacy, we ask that you contact your primary care provider when you are due for a refill.

Close to 40 people attended the Annual Governor’s Luncheon hosted by the Springfield Vermont Rotary Club and the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce at the River Valley Technical Center on April 21, 2026, to hear Governor Phil Scott's vision for Vermont. Among the priorities for his administration are housing, education, public safety and affordability.

Paving and Guardrail Replacement in Westmoreland-Walpole/Charlestown-Claremont

Traffic will be impacted through November.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin guardrail replacement and paving operations on NH Route 12 in the towns of Westmoreland and Walpole, and NH Route 11 & 12 in the towns of Charlestown and Claremont on Monday, April 8, 2026.

Weather permitting, work will be done between the hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. This pavement preservation project will pave approximately 19.1 miles of roadway and replace 45,000 Linear Feet (LF) of guardrail.

Message boards, flaggers, uniformed officers, and traffic control devices will be used as needed to direct the travelling public. Road Users should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs through the work zone. A 10-mph speed reduction during construction will also be implemented for road users' safety.

Last week we cut the ribbon on a room in our Charlestown Health Center that is now fully equipped with an electric Hoyer lift and adjustable bed. This is just the beginning of an organizational-wide initiative to make our facilities more accessible.
